2. Fat injections

Some people prefer lip augmentation by using fat injections, where the body’s own fat is collected through liposuction and then the processed fat is injected into the lips for a more voluminous appearance. The results are long-lasting.

The fillers are injected to the targeted area using a tiny needle. This procedure usually takes around half an hour. The results might last for nearly 6 – 18 months, depending on the filler used. This treatment is completely reversible. The patient might experience slight bruising or swelling right after the treatment usually at the site of injection. This usually lasts for less than a day and can be masked using makeup.
